TechFlow news, according to The Block, Michael Novogratz's company Galaxy Digital has announced the tokenization of a 300-year-old Stradivarius violin owned by Yat Siu, co-founder of Animoca Brands. Made in 1708 and valued at approximately $9 million, the violin once belonged to Russia's Catherine the Great.
Galaxy Digital stated: "This iconic instrument is renowned for its unparalleled craftsmanship and distinguished provenance, and its tokenization marks a significant advancement in applying blockchain technology to unlock the value of unique real-world assets." The company also noted that Siu will use the tokenized violin "as collateral to finance operations within Galaxy Global Markets."
