TechFlow reports, according to Protos, that Do Kwon's evolving extradition case is being sent back to Montenegro’s Supreme Court, which will determine whether an extradition policy established in 1901 between the U.S. and the Kingdom of Serbia still applies. At the time the treaty was signed, Montenegro was not part of the Kingdom of Serbia, but unified with the country in 1918. It remains unclear how international law and Montenegrin domestic law will interpret this over-a-century-old legal standard.
Previously, Terraform Labs and its founder Do Kwon reached a preliminary settlement with the U.S. SEC in the fraud case.
