TechFlow reports, citing The Block and sources, that ZkSync plans to hold its token generation event (TGE) this week. According to insiders, token distribution and airdrops will occur within 30 days following the TGE, with a total token supply of 21 billion.
ZkSync aims to complete the airdrop by June 13 and hopes to use "ZK" as the token’s trading symbol. However, since Polyhedra Network has already claimed that ticker, it was noted that ZkSync could still proceed with "ZK," emphasizing that Binance has not yet listed Polyhedra’s token. Currently, a Matter Labs spokesperson stated that zkSync is gradually decentralizing and has not finalized concrete plans.
ZkSync, developed by Matter Labs, is an Ethereum Layer 2 network leveraging ZK-rollup technology to scale Ethereum, enhancing blockchain speed and reducing costs.
