TechFlow news: Aave has proposed a plan to integrate Threshold Network's tBTC into the Aave v3 protocol on Ethereum.
tBTC is a digital asset pegged 1:1 to Bitcoin. Through the tBTC bridge, Bitcoin holders can participate in DeFi applications on Ethereum. This integration will provide Aave users with a fully decentralized, permissionless wrapped Bitcoin option, enabling a truly non-custodial lending and borrowing experience.
The next step is to publish a standard ARFC to gather feedback from the community and service providers, followed by advancing the proposal to the ARFC snapshot stage. If the ARFC snapshot yields positive results, an AIP vote will be launched to finalize and implement the proposal.
