TechFlow News: The digital ID platform RNS.ID launched by the Republic of Palau has issued a notice to users regarding restrictions from the United States, urging users to pay attention to the following:
-
Understand the laws of your country.
-
Do not use the address of the managing office as your proof of address.
-
Renew your Palau ID before your current plan expires while still within the country.
-
Inform the community about risks and take action accordingly.
The platform stated that obtaining identity documentation from another country does not violate U.S. law, and the program is established under legal legislation by the Republic of Palau and regulated by Palau’s Digital Resident Office (DRO). While the program may continue, individuals in the United States may face potential restrictions. Despite the island's population of only 18,000, user participation and support are crucial.
