TechFlow news, according to Cointelegraph, since being detained at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn in August 2023, SBF has had his first face-to-face conversation with the media. Despite being sentenced to 25 years in prison for fraud, FTX co-founder Sam Bankman-Fried (SBF) still insists he is innocent. While planning his appeal, he has turned to commodity trading—specifically rice.
In the interview, SBF expressed his view that he is a "scapegoat" for the FTX collapse. He admitted his only lapse was allowing FTX to be in a position "vulnerable to bank runs and malicious actions by competitors," but maintained that appropriate punishment should have been civil rather than criminal.
