TechFlow news, LayerZero CEO Bryan Pellegrino stated that the "Sybil self-reporting" initiative is not targeted at regular users, but rather at large-scale Sybil operators. The focus of the report is on massive Sybil operations, not individual users.
Previously, LayerZero Labs announced it would grant all Sybil users a 14-day window to self-report and receive 15% of their anticipated allocation without question. If Sybil users fail to self-report by the end of the 14-day period, two subsequent phases will follow:
-
First, a list of all identified Sybil users will be published, and those who failed to self-report will receive zero allocation;
-
Second, a bounty program will be launched, encouraging users to submit detailed reports on Sybil activities, with successful reporters receiving 10% of the offending Sybil user’s anticipated allocation as a reward.
