It has been 15 years, 4 months, and 4 days since Bitcoin's anonymous creator Satoshi Nakamoto mined the first block on January 3, 2009. This means that over Bitcoin's 5,603 days of existence, an average of 178,475 transactions have taken place per day. However, this transaction count does not include transactions conducted on the Lightning Network.
