TechFlow reports that a London mayoral candidate plans to provide each resident with £100 worth of cryptocurrency called the LONDON token.
The plan involves creating a £1 billion liquidity pool funded by a one-time tax on profits from financial institutions in London.
Candidate Brian Rose said this would give Londoners a genuine relationship with money and intends to support citizens through a crypto financial education platform to learn how to manage digital wallets, invest in tokens, and participate in the blockchain economy.
