TechFlow reports that the NEAR Foundation has launched a $4 million Infrastructure Council aimed at strengthening critical infrastructure within the NEAR ecosystem. Key infrastructure includes RPC nodes, relays, indexers, bridges, wallets, load balancers, and oracles.
The council consists of ecosystem leaders and NEAR partners, with goals to decentralize decision-making, enhance critical infrastructure, and streamline operations to improve transparency and decentralization.
The Infrastructure Council has already funded five key infrastructure proposals and encourages the community to submit innovative infrastructure projects.
Future plans include introducing a more sophisticated incident management system and launching Blockchain Operating System (BOS)-based applications to optimize funding process efficiency.
