TechFlow reports that blockchain video delivery network Theta Labs has been advancing the rollout of EdgeCloud v1, a platform designed to provide developers, researchers, and enterprises with cost-effective access to GPU computing power for AI, video processing, 3D rendering, and gaming tasks.
-
The first version will launch on May 1, offering tools and dashboards tailored for AI developers, support for various open-source AI models, and Jupyter Notebook integration.
-
A new Edge node client featuring the Elite+ Booster functionality will be released on June 26, enabling all EN users to participate in next-generation AI and computing tasks. Elite Edge node operators can earn additional rewards by staking extra TFUEL, though upgrading edge node hardware specifications is currently not recommended.
The development kit will roll out in two phases: the developer kit launches on May 1, supporting EdgeCloud development for an upcoming Theta hackathon; the Edge node client will follow on June 26, enhancing the reward system, cloud GPU platform, and integration with distributed edge nodes.
Previous report: Theta Labs will launch the first phase of EdgeCloud on May 1 for AI and video tasks.
