TechFlow reports that Litecoin has announced the release of Core v0.21.3, which includes a fix for CVE-2023-33297—a vulnerability that allows attackers to cause remote bandwidth and CPU denial-of-service attacks and has already been exploited in the wild.
The update introduces MWEB functionality, including lightweight client p2p messages and the new NODE_MWEB_LIGHT_CLIENT service flag.
Additional changes to the build process include fixes for issues on macOS and builds on Alpine Linux/musl. Test-related fixes include resolving test failures, disabling unused tests, and adding missing expected values.
