TechFlow news — Telegram has announced a major update: channel owners will now receive 50% of the revenue generated from ads displayed in their channels.
Other updates include:
- Channel owners can withdraw their earnings for free or reinvest them into Telegram ads, collectible usernames, or Premium gifts.
- A new type of ad has been introduced, purchasable with Toncoins powered by the TON blockchain. This allows anyone to promote their bot or channel with a budget as low as just a few Toncoins.
- Telegram ads are shown only in large public channels, do not rely on user data, and directly benefit channel owners.
- Users who prefer an ad-free experience can disable ads by subscribing to Telegram Premium, which also unlocks dozens of exclusive features, including new Telegram Business capabilities.
