TechFlow reported, according to Bloomberg, advisors overseeing the liquidation of Celsius Network are demanding major customers who withdrew over $2 billion before the platform's bankruptcy return the funds, to avoid potential lawsuits.
A steering committee has contacted customers who withdrew more than $100,000 from the platform prior to its July 2022 collapse. This process aims to repay creditors who withdrew funds from Celsius. The procedure affects approximately 2% of users but involves around 40% of the platform’s assets. At the time of bankruptcy, Celsius held about $6 billion in assets and had 1.7 million registered users. Customers who do not settle may face litigation and be forced to return funds.
