TechFlow news, according to BUSINESS INSIDER, sources revealed that OpenAI plans to launch GPT-5 at some point mid-year, possibly in the summer. Another insider said that some enterprise customers have recently received demonstrations of the latest model and its related enhancements to the ChatGPT tools.
OpenAI is still training GPT-5. After training is complete, it will undergo internal safety evaluations followed by "red team" testing, where employees and select external individuals use the tool in various ways to identify potential issues before public release. As a result, this process could delay any launch timeline.
