TechFlow news — blockchain payment company Zone has announced an $8.5 million seed funding round led by Flourish Ventures and TLcom Capital, with participation from Digital Money Group (DCG), VKAV (Verod-Kepple Africa Ventures), and Alter Global.
The new capital will enable Zone to further expand its network coverage across Africa, connecting more banks and financial service providers. The company plans to continue building a blockchain-based decentralized payment infrastructure for financial institutions across the African continent and beyond.
Zone is Africa’s first decentralized payment network. Its Layer-1 blockchain digitizes fiat payments, facilitates the transition to digital currencies, and connects financial institutions to a broader payment ecosystem.
