TechFlow reported that on March 13, crypto KOL DuDu, independent researcher NingNing, MT Capital investment manager Severin, and 0xCloud appeared as guests on Huobi's livestream. Under the theme "Unveiling Ethereum's Cancun Upgrade: A New Milestone for the Crypto World," they discussed the wide-ranging impacts of Ethereum’s Cancun upgrade on the cryptocurrency market. The livestream reached over 451,000 views across platforms, with more than 187,000 live viewers.
NingNing stated that modular rollups and DApp projects stand to benefit the most from this upgrade. The cost of building L2 solutions will significantly decrease, potentially enabling DApps to construct their own independent chains. Additionally, NingNing noted that a "sell the news" scenario cannot be ruled out after the upgrade goes live.
Severin analyzed that the Cancun upgrade could spark new narratives. Decentralized derivatives and fully on-chain gaming sectors may experience explosive growth following the upgrade. Moreover, due to the technical complexity and high implementation barriers of sharding, Ethereum is increasingly shifting toward L2 scaling solutions.
DuDu believes the Ethereum Cancun upgrade could attract more capital into the broader Ethereum ecosystem. Meanwhile, 0xCloud suggested that the era of “one token, one chain” is approaching, and Ethereum is poised to reestablish its position as the leading public blockchain.
Huobi HTX stated it will continue closely monitoring innovation and development within the Ethereum ecosystem, actively advancing investments and project incubation to nurture the next generation of Web3 companies.
