TechFlow news: Grass announced on X the launch of a Solana-based Layer 2 data rollup aimed at addressing current data transparency challenges in artificial intelligence (AI).
The plan is to create a system that enables developers to verify the sources of training data, thereby resolving data provenance issues. On this permanent ledger, users will be able to see the data used to train AI models and confirm the absence of bias.
This Layer 2 solution will record metadata during each data crawl to verify data sources. This information will be permanently embedded into every dataset, enabling builders to have confidence in data origins.
To handle scale reaching tens of millions of web page requests per minute, Grass will leverage Layer 2 to scale its protocol, using a ZK processor for data validation and providing persistent provenance trails for all generated datasets.
