TechFlow news: Tether has announced a robust blockchain recovery plan to ensure the transfer of USDT assets in the event of disruptions on any blockchain supporting USDT. It will launch an official recovery tool to migrate USDT across blockchains. Users will be able to verify ownership of their addresses on unresponsive blockchains and recipient addresses on another supported blockchain, after which Tether will facilitate the transfer of USDT between them.
Affected users can initiate the migration process through a user-friendly interface accessible via web or command-line tools. The process involves cryptographically signing a migration request to verify ownership of Tether tokens. This mechanism supports popular browser extension wallets and hardware wallets such as Ledger or Trezor.
In addition, the command-line interface allows users to directly input their private keys, enabling them to sign the required messages using open-source scripts on their local machines.
