TechFlow news, the Nigerian government is reportedly demanding at least $10 billion from Binance, amid its crackdown on cryptocurrency exchanges and the depreciation of the country's local currency.
Bayo Onanuga, special adviser to Nigeria's president, revealed the demand in an interview with BBC, accusing Binance of profiting from "illegal transactions" that harmed Nigeria's interests.
Binance has already been under investigation in Nigeria. The exchange has reportedly removed Nigeria's local currency, the Naira, from its peer-to-peer service.
