At 1:30 AM Beijing time on February 29, some Coinbase users experienced zero account balances and might have encountered errors when buying or selling.
At 3:30 AM, Coinbase stated that customer trading had improved; however, due to increased traffic, some customers might still experience errors when logging in, sending, receiving, and using certain payment methods.
At 4:15 AM, Coinbase noted continued improvement in customer trading activity on the platform. Customer logins had been restored, while sending functionality showed intermittent improvements. Due to persistently high traffic, some customers might still encounter issues with receiving funds and certain payment methods.
At 5:05 AM, Coinbase indicated initial signs of normalization on Coinbase.com and stated it would continue monitoring platform systems and providing updates. However, the issue has not yet been fully resolved.
In addition, Coinbase emphasized that user funds remain secure.
