TechFlow news, according to Bloomberg, the IRS has hired former Binance.US executive Sulolit "Raj" Mukherjee and Seth Wilks, former vice president at crypto tax software firm TaxBit, as advisors.
Sulolit "Raj" Mukherjee previously served as Global Head of Tax at blockchain software company ConsenSys and held a position at digital asset exchange Binance.US.
The IRS stated that both individuals will help lead the agency's cryptocurrency compliance and enforcement efforts.
Danny Werfel, Commissioner of the IRS, said: "Bringing in private-sector expertise to work alongside the IRS team is critical to successfully carrying out our work involving digital assets and helping us operate effectively for everyone."
