Blockchain platform Initia has announced a $7.5 million funding round led by Delphi Ventures and Hack VC, with participation from Nascent, Figment Capital, Big Brain, A.Capital, and angel investors including anonymous crypto trader Cobie, DCF God, Split Capital co-founder Zaheer Ebtikar, Fiskantes, WSB Mod, and Nick White, COO of Celestia. Initia is a Cosmos-based L1 that leverages application-specific L2s using OP Rollup technology. Through Initia's architecture—comprising the L1, L2, and communication layer—developers can easily launch application-specific blockchains built on Initia L2 without needing to understand complex chain-level infrastructure or operate validator sets.
