TechFlow reports that the modular execution layer Fuel's mainnet is expected to officially launch in the third quarter of this year. Prior to its mainnet release in Q3 2024, Fuel has transitioned its optimistic rollup project, Fuel V1, into a "Rollup OS." This shift toward an operating system aims to address key limitations in Ethereum’s current rollup architecture. Fuel will introduce a purpose-built virtual machine designed to enhance the performance of Ethereum rollups built on the platform by enabling parallel transaction execution, allowing multiple transactions to be processed simultaneously.
In the coming weeks, the Fuel team will share more details about Fuel’s unique architecture, product roadmap, and launch plans.
