TechFlow News — Circle announced on X that it will phase out support for USDC on the TRON blockchain. Effective immediately, Circle will no longer mint USDC on TRON.
Circle will support Circle Mint customers in transferring their USDC to other blockchains until February 2025. Since Circle only serves enterprise and institutional clients, retail users and non-Circle customers can transfer their USDC on TRON to exchanges or distributors, and then move them to other blockchains that support USDC.
By February 2025, Circle Mint customers will be able to either transfer their USDC to another blockchain or directly redeem USDC on TRON for fiat currency through Circle.
