TechFlow news, according to the Korean Economic Daily, Bithumb attempted to switch the partner bank for issuing real-name accounts but encountered obstacles. Originally planning to cooperate with NongHyup Bank, Bithumb sought to change to KB Kookmin Bank, but this move failed due to intervention by financial regulators and other reasons.
According to sources from financial authorities and the banking industry, KB Kookmin Bank notified Bithumb last week that it "will not sign a real-name account issuance contract." Bithumb currently has a real-name account issuance agreement with NongHyup Bank, which is set to expire on the 24th of next month.
