TechFlow reported, citing Cointelegraph, that Khori Whittaker, Executive Director of Ethereum Name Service (ENS), revealed ENS is heavily focused on researching ways to build its protocol on Ethereum Layer 2 networks, and may even consider launching its own internal Layer 2. However, specific details regarding the research and development process were not disclosed.
Whittaker stated that most discussions among ENS developers are currently centered on building on Optimism, and tangible results from this research are expected to emerge later this year.
