TechFlow reported, according to Blockworks, Gitcoin has announced a strategic shift to no longer focus on funding public goods, but instead to strengthen grant infrastructure within the Ethereum ecosystem.
The move includes internal restructuring into two business units: one focused on coordinating product development, and the other handling community and governance matters.
Kyle Weiss, Executive Director of Gitcoin, said the organization will transition from decentralized workflows to a structure more akin to a "Labs" model, ensuring stability in software development while concentrating community efforts through token voting to achieve results in grant programs. He noted that the DAO will place greater emphasis on leadership and decision-making authority for the software team, enabling better achievement of grant program objectives.
