TechFlow news, according to Phoenix News, former U.S. President Donald Trump said in an interview with Fox Business on Friday that if he is re-elected in November, he will not reappoint Jerome Powell as chairman of the Federal Reserve, claiming Powell cut interest rates to help President Biden win re-election.
"I think he lowered rates to help the Democrats," Trump said.
When asked why the stock market has performed so strongly despite poor economic conditions under Biden, Trump replied that it was because the market was optimistic about his return to the White House: "Because they think I'm going to win."
