TechFlow news — Hong Kong-based financial services firm Venture Smart Financial Holdings (VSFG) plans to apply for an Ethereum exchange-traded fund (ETF) license and aims to launch a Bitcoin ETF in the first quarter.
Lawrence Chu, chairman of the company, said they are preparing to submit a Bitcoin ETF application to the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), with plans to file an Ethereum ETF application in the second quarter. Meanwhile, around 10 other fund managers are also considering launching cryptocurrency ETFs in Hong Kong.
