TechFlow reports that Hong Kong Legislative Council member Ng Kit-kwong stated the Bitcoin Forum (Bitcoin Summit) will be held in Hong Kong this May, marking its first appearance in Asia. The event is expected to generate HK$200 million in consumption-related economic benefits.
Ng also urged the Hong Kong government to accelerate the development of Web3, as many cities worldwide are competing to become hub centers. He noted that this year's Bitcoin Summit demonstrates Hong Kong's Web3 and virtual asset policies are gradually attracting international market attention and participation.
