TechFlow news, according to data from blockchain analytics firm Flipside, the Layer 2 scaling network Polygon acquired nearly as many crypto users in 2023 as Ethereum. Polygon, an Ethereum scaling solution, had 15.24 million users in 2023, approximately 160,000 fewer than Ethereum's 15.4 million. Polygon led in the first half of 2023, while Ethereum took the lead throughout the second half.
Flipside defines an "acquired" user as one who has conducted at least two transactions on a specific blockchain, with at least one occurring in 2023.
