TechFlow reports that cross-chain interoperability protocol Socket has announced a user recovery plan on X, offering 100% compensation to all users affected by the previous attack.
The Socket smart contract vulnerability impacted 232 users across five different asset types, resulting in total losses of $3.3 million. However, recovered funds amounted to $2.2 million when valued in Ethereum. Socket will contribute an additional $1.1 million to fully compensate all affected users, distributing the full amount of lost funds directly back to their wallets.
Affected users need only sign a message confirming their wallet address and reimbursement amount by connecting their wallet to the official website and signing the transaction to complete the recovery process.
