TechFlow news, according to Decrypt, NBA star Dwight Howard announced last week the launch of a limited NFT collection called "Ballers by Dwight Howard" on the Avalanche network, but only 10% of the series was sold within the first day.
Less than 24 hours after the collection went live, Howard announced a major redesign of Ballers, aiming to attract more collectors. He pledged that for every additional 100 Baller NFTs minted, he would personally send 1 AVAX to 10 different Ballers holders. Additionally, Howard promised to purchase one NFT from the popular project Dokyoworld for every 100 Ballers NFTs minted. Subsequently, Howard reduced the total supply of "Ballers" NFTs from 3,000 to 1,500.
Currently, 459 Ballers NFTs have been minted, accounting for approximately 15% of the original supply. The floor price of the collection has dropped to 1.69 AVAX, below the project's initial minting price.
An Ava Labs spokesperson stated yesterday that Ava Labs has no affiliation with "Ballers."
Previous report: NBA star Dwight Howard's first original PFP collection launched on Avalanche is now publicly available. The collection consists of 3,000 NFTs with a public minting price of 2 AVAX.
