TechFlow News — Cross-chain NFT platform Magic Eden announced that an NFT token will be launched in the future by a DAO to drive the adoption and development of NFTs. Magic Eden will open-source and contribute key protocols, including its cross-chain marketplace protocol, to support this organization.
In addition, Magic Eden announced the expanded rollout of its cross-chain, self-custodial wallet. Initially released to a limited number of users at the end of 2023, the wallet enables instant cryptocurrency swaps between Bitcoin, Solana, Ethereum, and Polygon, aiming to provide NFT collectors with a faster and smoother cross-chain collecting and trading experience.
This is the first digital wallet directly integrated with an NFT platform. Soon, users will also be able to earn rewards by using the Magic Eden wallet. The wallet and desktop browser extension are expected to launch globally by the end of January.
