TechFlow news, according to Bloomingbit, South Korean game developer Netmarble recently advised 70 employees of "Metaverse World," a subsidiary under Netmarble F&C responsible for metaverse-related operations, to resign.
At the same time, the "Meta World" project led by Metaverse World may be discontinued.
A member of Netmarble F&C stated, "Due to the deteriorating market conditions, we have carefully decided to wind down Metaverse World."
It is reported that Metaverse World has been actively advancing its metaverse business, developing "Grand Cross: Meta World," and signed an agreement with Mysten Labs, the operator of Layer 1 project SUI.
