TechFlow news — Snapshot page shows that the Lido community has initiated a proposal to select a team for developing the wstETH bridge on BNB, with voting now open until January 25.
Following the RFP from NEW (Network Expansion Working Group) which concluded on December 5, 2023, four qualified proposals were submitted to build the wstETH bridge on BNB and received positive or neutral feedback from the community: LayerZero, Wormhole & Axelar Multibridge, Chainlink CCIP, and Hyperlane & Hadron Labs. Currently, Wormhole & Axelar Multibridge holds the highest support rate at 99.83%.
This vote is a necessary step to complete the first phase of the BNB expansion process. The proposal encourages participation from Lido DAO members in discussions and urges raising any concerns in the related forum post to ensure the best decision is made.
Once the proposal passes voting, the team selected by Lido DAO will proceed with developing the solution. Upon readiness—developed, audited, reviewed, and deployed by NEW—the solution will be submitted back to Lido DAO.
