According to CoinDesk, Do Kwon, co-founder of Terraform Labs, has filed an appeal against the decision by Montenegro's High Court supporting extradition requests from the United States and South Korea.
Kwon's lawyers said the local court appears to be facing political pressure regarding whether he should be extradited to the U.S. or South Korea. Previously, Kwon successfully appealed and overturned the High Court's ruling, but the court reaffirmed the legality of the extradition request on December 29 last year.
Kwon is currently serving a four-month prison sentence in Montenegro for possessing forged official documents. During his incarceration, Montenegro must approve his extradition and determine the destination country. Meanwhile, Kwon's U.S. legal team has requested a postponement of his securities fraud trial so that he may appear in person.
