TechFlow reports that SlowMist founder Yu Xian posted on X, stating: We previously received several reports of theft. Users must be aware of such risks—hardware wallets purchased from unofficial stores or channels are prone to tampering. If you receive a hardware wallet, follow at least imKey's recommendations:
- PIN code should be set by the user; any pre-created PIN code carries fraud risk;
- A new device must be activated upon first use and requires creating and backing up the recovery phrase;
Otherwise, there is a risk of fraud.
