TechFlow news: Terra co-founder Do Kwon has requested a U.S. court to postpone his trial by the SEC pending his extradition from Montenegro. His lawyers argued that since the extradition process may not conclude until February or March, delaying the trial to mid-March would provide Kwon a chance to appear in court.
If the court denies the request to postpone, Kwon plans to ask the court to instruct the jury about his inability to testify, in order to ensure fairness. Kwon was sentenced in Montenegro for using forged passports. He faces criminal charges in both the United States and South Korea, while the SEC has filed a civil lawsuit alleging he orchestrated a multibillion-dollar crypto asset securities fraud.
