TechFlow news, according to Bloomberg, Google is continuing cost-cutting measures by laying off hundreds of employees across its smart assistant, hardware, and engineering teams. Affected staff include members of the Google Assistant voice assistant team, augmented reality hardware teams, as well as parts of the company's core engineering team.
This round of layoffs follows last year's reduction of 12,000 employees at Alphabet, marking another downsizing effort.
