TechFlow reported, according to The Block, the latest amended S-1 filing shows that VanEck has injected $72.5 million in seed capital into its spot Bitcoin ETF.
The seed capital refers to funds contributed by banks and brokers to purchase underlying assets (Bitcoin in this case) in exchange for ETF shares that can be traded on the public market from the first listing day. Seed investments are typically modest in size, sufficient only to launch the ETF.
