TechFlow reports that the cryptocurrency fund HyperVerse is involved in false advertising and potential fraud. Steven Reece Lewis, who claims to be its CEO, has been exposed for fabricating his credentials—his alleged degrees from the University of Leeds and Cambridge University in the UK cannot be verified. There are no records from the UK Companies House, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, or companies such as Adobe to support his claimed professional background.
Sam Lee and Ryan Xu, founders of HyperTech Group, are accused of violating the Companies Act. The Bitcoin company Blockchain Global, linked to them, owes $58 million in debt.
Recently, HyperVerse members have encountered withdrawal issues and are being encouraged to migrate to a new platform called HyperNation. HyperNation promotes itself as supporting a "New World Order" and promises to provide global basic income to its "citizens" using new technology. However, the relationship between HyperNation and the HyperTech initiative remains unclear.
