TechFlow news, according to cryptonews, Russian tax authorities will begin collecting taxes in digital rubles starting from 2025, and banks will have the authority to block suspicious CBDC transactions.
According to Klerk, recent tax code amendments signed by Russian President Putin at the end of last year state that Russian tax authorities will "shift to taxing in digital rubles starting from 2025."
In addition, the Russian Ministry of Finance hopes to "begin paying pensions and other social benefits in digital rubles."
