TechFlow news, according to Econovill, South Korean crypto venture capital firm Hashed made a total of 29 investments in 2023, amounting to 36.8 billion KRW (approximately 284.4 million USD). By sector, blockchain infrastructure, gaming, and finance each accounted for 21%, while IP and content-related startups comprised 15%.
In addition, the firm invested in various early-stage startups capable of long-term utilization of blockchain infrastructure, including O2O platforms, sharing economy ventures, and artificial intelligence startups. By region, South Korea had the largest share at 38%, followed by North America (21%), Europe (7%), and other Asian regions such as Singapore (34%). A total of 20 newly invested companies were backed, most of which are early-stage startups ranging from seed to Series A stage.
It is reported that Hashed currently operates its first fund of 12 trillion KRW and second fund of 24 trillion KRW through Hashed Ventures.
