TechFlow reported that the civil rehabilitation trustee of the cryptocurrency exchange Mt. Gox recently conducted the first repayment transfer to creditors via PayPal. However, due to a system failure, some creditors were inadvertently paid twice.
The trustee has notified affected creditors, urging them to check their PayPal accounts and confirm whether they received duplicate payments.
If an overpayment is confirmed, the trustee requests that creditors immediately use PayPal's refund function to return the erroneous amount (undisclosed) to the designated PayPal account. If the refund function is unavailable, creditors must return the equivalent amount through alternative means.
