TechFlow reported that OCEAN, a decentralized Bitcoin mining project backed by former Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey, has released an updated version of its mining pool, offering miners the option to choose their block template strategies. Miners can now resume playing a key role in selecting block contents without having to build the templates themselves.
The specific updates include:

Permissionless onramp: miners can start mining with just a single Bitcoin address;

A non-custodial system with no intermediaries;

Transparent block templates: for the first time, miners can see their hash values before mining begins.
In addition, OCEAN plans to introduce new methods next year enabling miners to perform more complex tasks while still benefiting from the economics and low variance advantages of pool mining.
