TechFlow reports that Lisk is partnering with Optimism and Gelato to transition from a Layer 1 solution to an Ethereum Layer 2 solution. As part of this transition, Lisk will migrate its LSK token to Ethereum, with plans to deploy the Layer 2 testnet in the first quarter of 2024.
In addition, Lisk plans to conduct an initial token airdrop of LSK on the new chain, with specific details to be announced prior to mainnet launch. This move aims to accelerate Lisk's growth within the new ecosystem and provide developers with lower transaction fees.
