TechFlow news — Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson recently made serious allegations against the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) during an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session. He claimed that the SEC has unclear rules and inconsistent enforcement standards in regulating cryptocurrencies, showing clear favoritism toward Bitcoin and Ethereum.
Hoskinson further criticized the SEC for relying on enforcement actions rather than legislative measures to shape policy. He emphasized that lawmakers need to establish clear rules and regulations, noting that existing laws were written decades ago and may not adequately address the complexities of the rapidly evolving cryptocurrency space. He expressed dissatisfaction with the SEC’s classification of decentralized assets, calling for a clear distinction among Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Cardano, and labeled the "team orange" receiving a "free pass" as a "sad joke."
