TechFlow news: SlowMist founder Yu Xian posted a tweet stating, "The issue with inscriptions has been assigned a CVE number, which fundamentally undermines its legitimacy and clearly classifies it as a vulnerability. Having a CVE number isn't new—many security teams or individuals can apply for one. We don't place much importance on it, but players in the Bitcoin ecosystem might take it seriously, since a CVE is one of the most recognized forms of vulnerability validation in the security industry."
Earlier news: Bitcoin Core client developer Luke Dashjr stated that the vulnerability in the Bitcoin Core client exploited by inscriptions has been assigned the identifier CVE-2023-50428.
